Neighbourhood Heroes (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a lawn care provider based in Edmonton, Alberta. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our customers and website visitors. - Payment Processing: HubSpot Payments and PayPal — we do not store full credit card details on our servers; transactions use SSL encryption and are processed via secure gateways.
Cross-Border Data Processing: Some providers (e.g., HubSpot, Google) may store/process information outside Canada (e.g., United States), where it may be accessible to foreign authorities. We use providers with strong safeguards.
We may disclose information to comply with law, enforce policies, protect rights/safety/property, or in business transfers.
6. Retention and Security
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes collected or meet legal/business obligations (e.g., tax records). Service photos/videos are retained in customer profiles indefinitely unless deletion is requested and feasible.
We implement reasonable safeguards: data is behind secured networks with limited access, encrypted transmissions (SSL), access controls, and secure hosting. All sensitive information uses industry-standard protection. However, no method is 100% secure.
7. Your Rights: Access, Correction, and Deletion
Under PIPA, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal information.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate/incomplete information.
- Deletion: Request deletion of photos/videos of your property (subject to operational/legal feasibility).
Contact our Privacy Officer to make a request. We will respond within 45 days (or as required by law).
