We do not handle windrow clearing; the city of Edmonton is responsible for ensuring driveways and access points can be reentered from the street within practical hours after service is completed.

Windrow removal offered by the city clears the snow piles left by snowplows and, when available, is typically completed within 12 hours.

In Edmonton, most residential sidewalks are the owner’s responsibility, and snow generally must be removed within 48 hours to avoid a $100 fine.

Condos & Property Management

Our Heroes can maintain common walkways, entrances, parking areas, sidewalks, paths, and other shared spaces throughout the winter, helping to protect residents, visitors, and neighbours on every cold day.

We start long before the first outdoor skating rink is built. Our work begins by establishing which driveways, sidewalks, walkways, entrances, stairs, parking areas, or other surfaces require service, what equipment and processes we should use to de-ice them, and following standardized procedures to support consistent job execution. During snow removal visits, our Heroes clear snow and use de-icing techniques to keep your property safe. That may include sand, ice melt, or manual snow removal with a shovel where ice buildup has formed, and we confirm completion of the work. Our snow removal systems also use automatic dispatch once snowfall reaches our service threshold, so you don’t need to monitor weather forecasts and contact us every time it snows. Where applicable, you may also receive real-time status updates, a service window, or completion photos.

How much does ice removal cost?

The cost of ice removal depends on your property, the surfaces requiring service, the amount and condition of the ice, and the required ice management. Contact our team for an estimate based on your property.

What de-icing materials do you use?

Depending on the conditions and service package, our Heroes may use ice melt, sand, or a combination of both. Ice melt helps loosen or melt ice, while sand improves traction. Significant ice buildup may also require manual chipping.

Do you offer emergency ice removal?

If unexpected icy conditions require additional attention to your property, contact our team. Additional or one-time service may be available depending on your location, the conditions, and our operational capacity. As a rough guide, 1 lb of ice melt covers about 30–40 feet of sidewalk. When availability allows, we can also confirm a service window and whether we can respond within a certain number of hours.

Can you pre-treat before a storm?
