Root for Trees is a City of Edmonton initiative dedicated to expanding and maintaining the city’s urban forest through community-led tree planting and stewardship programs. By working with volunteers, local organizations, and residents, Root for Trees helps improve neighbourhood livability, environmental resilience, and long-term urban canopy coverage. The program plays a crucial role in supporting biodiversity, mitigating urban heat, and enhancing Edmonton’s green infrastructure.
We support Root for Trees by volunteering in community tree planting sessions whenever possible and contributing our time to help grow and protect Edmonton’s urban forest. This involvement aligns with our commitment to environmental responsibility and giving back to the neighbourhoods we serve. Participating in local tree planting initiatives allows us to support healthier communities, contribute to long-term environmental outcomes, and reinforce our belief that caring for green spaces extends beyond lawns to the broader ecosystem around them.
